TSC Number application.According to the TSC Act 2012. All qualified teachers must register with the Teachers Service Commission before being given a job in any Kenyan school,whether it be a private or public school.
To support this TSC Act, the Ministry of Education issued an order to all county commissioners in late 2016. It directed them to make sure that only qualified teachers begin teaching in schools in 2017. A registered and certified tutor must receive recognition from the Teachers Service Commission with a registration certificate.

What are Requirements for registration of TSC number?
Teachers who want to work in secondary schools should have at least a C+ (plus) in two courses they teach. To learn more about the prerequisites for teacher registration.
The following documents are scanned at the beginning of the process to make uploading them easier:
✓All academic transcripts from colleges and universities, including primary, secondary, and postsecondary education.
✓You must upload your photo (passport size).
✓Non-refundable registration cost of Kshs 1055 for a duplicate certificate and Kshs 2055 for a duplicate certificate, in the TSC registration accounts listed below.
✓National Bank of Kenya (use pay bill) business number 625625; account number for direct banking is 01001000905001; account number for ordinary banking is this.
NOTE:Keep in mind that your registration will not be processed if this payment is not made.
After scanning everything, start the TSC number registration procedure by following the instructions below.
1) Only original papers should be scanned and submitted.
2) The approval letter from the Ministry of Education’s Inquiry Committee should be attached in the case of overseas teachers.

What are Steps for Applying for a TSC number Certificate?
Do the following simple procedure in order to register;
1) Go to: teachersonline.tsc.go.ke
2) Enter your name and surname from an ID or passport, then press Next
3) In the form that needs to be loaded, enter the necessary information (KRA PIN, Email, Phone number etc are required)
4) The final step should be completed.
Note: Keeping the Teachers Service Commission informed of misleading information with knowledge is a serious violation, so keep that in mind. According to the legislation, anyone found guilty of an offence is subject to a fine of up to Ksh 100,000, a sentence of up to 12 months in prison, or both (Section 44 of TSC Act No. 20 of 2012).
How to Check the Status of TSC Number Registration
The TSC number will be given to you in less than a month after you have finished the entire online process. Use your National ID number to access Teacher Registration Status to see if you have received your TSC number successfully through TSC website.
The TSC certificate will be mailed to the postal address you supplied at registration by the commission. This means that the applicant is responsible for verifying the validity of the stated postal address. If a month has passed and you still have not received your certificate, get in touch with the commission for more information.
