CONDITIONS FOR APPOINTMENT
In order to be appointed to this grade, a teacher must:
✓Must possess a satisfactory performance appraisal rating;
✓Have proven ability to supervise, mentor, and offer professional support to other teachers;Also
✓Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution,
✓Must satisfy any additional requirements the Commission may deem necessary; additionally,
✓Have held the position of Deputy Head Teacher II TSC Scale 9 for a minimum of three (3) years.
HEAD TEACHER, T-SCALE 10, SNE PRIMARY SCHOOL
Conditions for Appointment
In order to be appointed to this grade, a teacher must:
✓Must have worked as a Deputy Head Teacher II TSC Scale 9 for at least three (3) years;
✓Shall possess a minimum of a Diploma in Special Needs Education (in the specialty stated);
✓have received a satisfactory rating on a performance review;
✓They must proof their ability to supervise, mentor, and offer professional support to other teachers;
✓He/she must meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution;
✓Have to satisfy any additional requirements the Commission may deem necessary.

DEPUTY HEAD TEACHER II, T-SCALE 9 (Regular primary school)
Conditions for Appointment
In order to be appointed to this grade, a teacher must:
✓Proof he/she have worked as a Senior Teacher I T-Scale 8 for at least three (3) years;
✓Must have received a satisfactory performance rating;
✓Demonstrate their ability to supervise, mentor, and offer professional support to other teachers;Also,
✓Comply with Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution; and meet any additional requirements the Commission may deem necessary.
Before being given consideration for an appointment, successful candidates in the interviews must submit valid Chapter 6 documentations.
Chosen Candidates will be required to submit the following documents, all of which must be valid:
1) Letter of appointment to the grade in effect
2) A letter of appointment or deployment to the current duty
(3) A certificate of good behaviour from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations
4) Higher Education Loans Board clearance document (HELB)
5) Application for clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
6) A credit reference agency’s certificate of clearance
7) Certificate of tax conformity from Kenya Revenue Authority
