TSC Transfer in January 2023 and New Requirements.Teachers service Commission (TSC) will effect transfer requests of thousands of teachers across the nation.
the transfers will be concluded and released after KCSE exams for 2022.
The TSC subcounty offices across the nation will have the transfer letters for both school administrators and teachers.
However, it will be the responsibility of the school’s principal and headteacher to collect and distribute transfer letters to the appropriate teachers.
Before that occurs, i want let you know how TSC transfers are applied, sorted, and authorised.
Also I will give reasons why you might be eligible for an intercounty transfer.
TSC shifted the transfer application process online. All transfer applications must now be submitted online.
This is a part of the Commission’s 2019–2023 strategic plan, which aims to automate and simplify service delivery, according to a circular issued by the Commission’s top executive, Dr. Nancy Macharia.
Through Transfer Application Portal.Input TSC number,ID number and also phone number before clicking “Login” to apply for a transfer.
A validation code will be issued to the registered mobile number you provided. Click “Login” after entering the code that was texted to your phone.
Note: Please be aware that if you are not receiving the code at all, your phone number is not registered. If this occurs, it is advisable that you speak with your county TSC ICT officer to fix the mobile number.
Once you login the system immediately displays teachers category, primary or high school.
Enter the required information correctly and the click “Submit” a request for transfer to proceed. The system will display the teacher’s current station and one he/she is requesting.

Incase the teacher is requesting the transfer on insecurity or medical grounds,then he/she must attach Certified supporting documents by Clicking “File attachments ” button to attach and submit.
The filed transfer information can be edited and printed for record purposes.
Once through in filing the transfer,proceed to the head of institution and send a notification through their TSC emails for notifications.
The Teacher Online Transfer Application Portal URL or the email supplied with the link can both be used by the Head of Institution to access the portal.
Heads of institutions must enter and submit their comments after accessing the portal.
The subcounty director and county director are notified if the transfer is within the county, respectively.
If the request is to be transferred outside of the county, it is sent to the county director before being forwarded to TSC Headquarters’ Staffing Directorate.
Through the display of transfer status, transfer applicants get the following feedback:
✓Pending: The teacher’s application has been submitted successfully and is awaiting feedback from the appropriate supervisors.
✓Acknowledged: The teacher is eligible for transfer and is awaiting the opening of a position or the instructor’s acceptable replacement.
✓Not Approved:Means teacher’s proposal is regrettable or rejected, For example,have not worked in the current station for a period of five years after first appointment, absence of a suitable successor and also absence of vacancy; then
Approved: This is shown upon the transfer committee’s approval of the teacher transfer.
Additionally,Principals and county directors subsequently issue the letter of transfer to successful candidates.
NOTE: According to TSC staffing norms and the policy on teacher transfers is always contingent upon the availability of a replacement.
Transfer of primary teachers is only allowed within the county and high teachers can be moved outside the county.
TSC transfers are guided by Code of regulations on tranfers (2015) on other requirements clause 64.

The TSC Online Transfer Application Process
1. HRMIS Transfer Manual-Teacher portal
i.Firstly, visit the TSC website at www.tsc.go.ke, click Online Services, and then select Teacher Transfer.:
ii)Click Login after entering your login information, which includes your TSC number, ID number, and mobile number.
iii. Your mobile number will receive a six-digit authorization code.
iv. Accordingly type the security code, then click Login.
v. After a successful login, the system can tell if you teach in the primary or post-primary grades.
vi. In order to move forward, click “Submit a Request for Transfer.”
vii. Afterward fill out the form completely and mark the declaration box.
viii. Click “OK” after filling out all the fields and checking the declaration box.
✓The system will show the requested County along with your present station.
ii. However,If the request for transfer is made for reasons of security and/or health.click the “File Attachment(s)” button to attach any necessary documentation.
iii. Once through,you have the option to Print, Edit, or Withdraw the transfer request.
iv. To choose the document to attach, click Browse.
v) Enter your comments here.
Vi) After you have attached the document, check the dialogue box and click OK.
Your attachment(s) will be shown. You have the option of removing or viewing your attachment.
b. Press the submit button.
c. when your application is successfully submitted, its status is changed to “Pending.” (Please be aware that the application status will continue to change.)
Vii. Finally lick “Logout” to leave the system.
