IS KCSE marking Over?
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) wishes to inform the country that marking of KCSE 2022 across all 35 centers is over despite there were a few hiccups.
Students should be prepared for the results anytime this week through the Ministry of Education CS, Ezekiel Machogu.
How Is KCSE Exams Marked?
Each KCSE subject is marked on the basis of the twelve – point scale. 12 points are the highest score while 1point is the lowest.
These grades are accompanied by an expanded Grading system from A, A-, to E.
When Will 2022 KCSE Results Be Released ?
According to the Basic Education Principal Secretary Dr. Belio Kipsang, 2022 KCSE results will be released anytime from today but before reopening Of Schools on 23rd January 2023.
The CS Education also insisted while releasing the form One Selection at KICD headquarters that now marking of national exam is done, compiling and analysis will follow then announcement of results this week follows.
At the moment, we can only wait, be patient and see how everything will happen.

KCSE results can be accessed in two ways:-
- Via Short message (SMS)
- Via Knec Online Portal
The two procedures are well elaborated below.
1) Via Short Message (How can I check my KNEC results by SMS?)
KCSE Results 2022/2023 results can be received by sending an SMS with your Index Number to 20076 for Safaricom, Airtel and Telkom networks.
Due to the high number of requests being made at that particular time, the feedback may take a few minutes to arrive.
The SMS cost 25 Shillings.
2) Via Online Knec Portal-How can I check my KCSE results online?
- Visit the KNEC portal https://www.knec-portal.ac.ke/
- Then select the KCSE results online tab,
- Follow by entering your year and correct KCSE index number.
- Proceed by pressing okey, and get your results.
Note:One can proceed by downloading the results and print.
