Schools with highest number of Grade A. The Education CS Ezekiel Machogu has revealed that Mang’u and Alliance High Schools led with the most A-plain grades in the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education exams.

According to The Standard’s study of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination results from last year, Kiambu and Nairobi counties were responsible for about one-third of the “A” grades awarded.

According to The Standard’s study of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination results from last year, Kiambu and Nairobi counties were responsible for about one-third of the “A” grades awarded.

However, according to our study, Kisii and Nyamira each had 81 candidates with an “A” grade, for a combined total candidates.Kisii producing 51 while Nyamira produced 30 A’s.
Speaking during the exam period, Mr. Machogu claimed that the persons in charge of the examinations had been given the duty of preventing cheating, “thereby assuring that none of them could put their employment at risk by condoning anomalies.”
The Senate Education Committee is reportedly planning an investigation into whether certain schools received an unfair edge in the exams, so the debate over the authenticity of the exam results is not likely to go away any time soon.

List of those who produced highest number of A’s
Mang’u High School in Kiambu had the highest number of candidates with ‘A’ grade, at 82.The had school a mean of 10.366.
Siaya had 72 students, Migori had 61, while Kisumu had 59.
Alliance high schools in Kiambu produced total of 112 A’s. With Alliance boys having 71 and sister school producing 40.
In Nairobi County, Starehe Boys Center and school had 10,Pangani had 20,followed by Nairobi school wth 39 A’s, 2 lesser than The Kenya high school which had 41 A’s.
In Uasin Gishu County, Moi Girls High school Eldoret had 20 A’s
In Nandi County, all A’s came from Kabsabet Boys High SCHOOL with a mean of 10.03
In Trans Nzoia County, St.Antony Boys produced 41 A’s while St. Bridged girls high school Kiminini had 11.
In Kisii, Cardinal Otunga High School shocked many from years of slumber to produce 28 top students while Kisii School had six fewer, at 22.
The top school in the country, Nyambaria Boys High School from Nyamira County had a mean score of 10.87. It had 33 students with straight A plain.
According to the Cabinet Secretary, in the exam last year, there were 173,345 students who met the requirement for university entrance of having a grade of C+ or higher, up from 145,776 in 2021.
