TSC Salary scale for Teachers.The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has fully implemented the teachers’ Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
In this article, I’ll elaborate to you revised salary stratures and scales for various teachers grades according to approved CBA by teachers employer.
1)Chief Principals New Salary Scale(Grade 4)
Chief principals are the highest paid as per the CBA.These are the institutional heads of national and extra-county schools that serve more than 1000 students.

They are in Grade D5 and they received a wage increase of up to Sh9,496 beginning on July 1st, 2020.They received Sh. 157,656 as basic salary.
The lowest earner in this group gets a salary of Sh131,380.
2) SENIOR PRINCIPALS(Job Grade D3 &D4)
Senior Principals head County Schools with over 540 students. They’re at Grade 4 & 3.
They earn a monthly salary of Ksh 121,890 and Principals in D3 earn a monthly salary of ksh104,644.
Additionally, Deputy Principals II T-Scale 12 (D2) will now earn a monthly salary of KSh 91,041 as their counterparts, Deputy Principals III T-Scale 11 (D1), earn a monthly salary of between KSh77,840 and kSh85,269 respectively.
TSC Salary scale for Teachers For SENIOR MASTER (IV) Teachers (grade C4)
Their monthly salary is revised to Ksh. 52,308.
Also they’re entitled to the Following Annual Allowances.
- Commutter Allowances of Upto Ksh. 8,000.
- Monthly Leave Allowances of Upto Ksh. 6,000
- Monthly House Allowances of Upto Ksh.28,000
The revised teachers salary scales have moved teachers earnings to higher salary scales.
