TSC RECRUITMENT Roadmap 2022/2023
Reporting dates for teachers.The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has cleared confusions that has been engulfing newly recruited teachers in January 2023.
According to TSC Recruitment roadmap 2022/2023 hired teachers were to report on 1st February 2023. But until now they’ve not yet reported.

According to teachers employer, Newly Employed Teachers for both permanent and pensionable terms and Internship programs to junior secondary schools will be strictly the second week of February 2023.
For the teachers appointed by the Teachers Service Commission in 2023, who have been waiting for good news because it is a comfort.
Unlikely what the 2022/2023 circular indicates,KICD chairman Charles Ong’ondo confirmed this today as he was foreseeing the distribution of grade 7 textbooks in Migori county.
TSC is working around the clock to ensure all recruited teachers have reported to their stations by next week, he added.
Recruited Teachers Joining Payroll
The TSC Boss indicated that all 35,550 employed in January 2023 will added to the payroll by January 30th, 2023.
Speaking during the release of the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results at Mitihani House on Friday,TSC CEO Nancy Macharia stated that the TSC is committed to ensuring that all Junior Secondary School learners receive the best education possible.
“We (TSC) will provide guidelines on the teaching and administration of the Junior Secondary School as the students report shortly. We are recruiting 30,000 teachers; it is our intention for them to join the payroll on 30th January,” Macharia said.
As per latest changes ,new teachers will be added to the payroll by the end of February.
Additionally,In response to a nationwide teachers shortage, President William Ruto’s education taskforce recommended hiring 30,000 new junior secondary teachers.

RECENTLY ADVERTISED TSC RECRUITMENT VACANCIES
By the end of 2022 ,TSC announced various teaching vacancies as highlighted below.
- 9,000 secondary school posts on permanent and pensionable terms to be posted to Junior Secondary Schools. .
- 1,000 primary school posts on permanent and pensionable terms.
- 21,550 secondary school posts on Internship to be posted to Junior Secondary Schools.
- 4,000 primary school posts on internship.
