February Form One Admission.More than 1.2 million pupils who sat for KCPE exam in November 2022 were placed in various national, Extra-County, County and subcounty schools by Ministry of Education.
All these form ones will Reporting in their respective secondary schools as from this Monday 6th February a week after grade seven reported to junior secondary schools.

The form ones are reporting to high schools amid tough and rough economic times which has skyrocketed basic commodities.
The government, through the ministry of education announced a number of measures to protect parents from schools exploitation.
The measure includes, school calendar, school fees, Uniforms, texts book among others.
Here is a number of things parehts should know weather their kids are joing junior or senior Secondary schools.

February Form One Admission ,Reporting Dates 2023
All form ones are expected to report as from Monday 6th February to 13th February. Incase of any challenges during admissions, Parents are advised to seek guidance from the education County directors.
According to the Ministry of education, principals are instructed to submit correct details of reporting form ones in the The National Education Management Information System (NEMIS), because it will serve as the primary hub for tracking students’ advancement through the educational system.

February Form One Admission,SCHOOL CALENDER 2023
After admission, the form ones will resume learning with the rest of students until 16th March for a half break until 19tharch.
As per the calendar again schools will break for two weeks holiday as from 22nd April to 7th May.
The school calendar was revised by the Ministry of education to normalise it after 2 years of disruption by the pandemic.
According to a circular from the Ministry of Education,the new term dates were agreed upon in order to cover the remaining two terms of the 2020 school calendar and stabilise the school calendar by December 2020 and this was in consu with education stakeholders.

Secondary School Fees
The government assured parents that school fees won’t change.Cs Ezekiel Machogu says the government continue giving capitation per student in public Secondary schools of Ksh.22,224.
Machogu warned Principals from extorting more school fees from parents and asked parents to report to the nearest education of such school head for immediate action.
Form One Placement 2023
The government selected and placed all KCPE 2022 Candidates in various schools and parents were directed to take their kids to respective schools.
Incase of dissatisfaction with the school, they’re advised to liase with the desired schools for further assistance.

Uniform Issuance
Parents have been complaining for years now that schools force them to buy uniforms from specific shops or dealers which is so expensive.
Basic Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang announced that parents are supposed to buy uniforms from their preferred shop.
“School Principals who will force parents to buy uniforms from their institutions or preferred dealers will be tracked down and punished.”
The ministry of education promised the Parsnts that they will work closely With colleagues from TSC to ensure they bring to book such culprits.
