TSC Training JSS Teachers.The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) will be responsible for training all recently recruited junior secondary school teachers, both on internship and permanent and pensionable (PnP) terms of service.
What Will Be The Objective of JSS Training?
The training program will be tailored to ensure the teachers are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively teach in the junior secondary schools.
The training program will include the provision of teaching materials and guidance on how to best use the materials for effective teaching and learning.
The training will also include an introduction to the TSC Guidelines for hiring and retaining teachers, as well as the TSC Code of Conduct and Ethics.
Moreover, the training will also involve interactive sessions and group discussions to ensure that all junior secondary school teachers are well-versed in TSC policies and procedures.

In junior secondary schools, students are taught a range of subject areas that are essential for their development as students and young adults.
These subject areas may include mathematics, English, science, social studies, information and communication technology (ICT), physical education, music and the arts, and language. Depending on the school and curriculum, some schools may include additional subject areas such as home economics or history.
1) Mathematics In Junior Secondary
Students will learn to use basic mathematical concepts and operations to solve problems in daily life.
Students will also learn to analyze, interpret, use, and apply mathematics in different contexts.
2) In English
Pupils will develop their reading and writing skills, as well as their grammar and comprehension. They will also be taught how to use language effectively to communicate with others
3) In social studies,
Learners will learn about the history and cultures of different societies, as well as the principles of economics, political systems, and geography.
4) ICT subjects
In ICT, students will be introduced to the concepts of computer hardware and software, as well as internet safety and ethics.
They will also be taught how to use technology to create and store documents, create presentations, and conduct research on the internet.
5) Physical Education
In physical education, students will learn the fundamentals of physical fitness, sports, and health.
6) In Music and Arts education
In Music and Arts, students will explore different aspects of music and art, such as music theory, music performance, and art history.
Finally, in language, students will learn a second language, usually a language spoken in the local area or a language chosen by the student’s parents.
