Elementary school teachers earns median salary of $49,019 in 2021 while middle school teachers earned a median salary of $50,770.
High school teachers earns medium salary of $61,820 in 2021 with the best-paid 25% making up to $78,780 and the lowest-paid 25% earning up to $48,830.
The average starting teacher salary for 2020-2021 – $41,770 an increase of 1.4% over 2019-2020, though when adjusted for inflation, this represents a 4% decrease from 2019-2020.
