He claims that his government will hire a company to do the audit.
“It is true that we have not maintained the country’s fiscal order.” There is already a procedure in place, and we are making headway in determining how many there are, but as of now, I can estimate that the county is paying 500 to 1000 ghost workers, according to Nyaribo.
Nyaribo was asked to explain why 45% of county revenue goes to employee compensation when he spoke before the Senate County Public Accounts and Investments Committee (CPAIC) to respond to audit questions.
Nyamira Senator Okong’o Omogeni concurred with his views.
“The governor of our neighboring Kisii County disclosed 1500 ghost laborers. Are you certain about the numbers and the nature of this group’s employment? he enquired.
Although the county clearly spends a lot on human resources, Omogeni claimed that the services do not adequately reflect the high level of human resources in the county.

IRREGULAR HIRING IN THE COUNTY
Unusual hiring practices for county employees were also noted by an Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) officer linked to the county.
The EACC officer added, “The audit discovered that there are numerous employees who have been employed improperly, and this undoubtedly leads to the misuse of public funds.”
The committee headed by Senator Kajwang described Governor Nyaribo as “fiscally reckless.”
The committee requested that the county head send a report outlining the precise number of ghost workers in the county and the steps he plans to take to address the problem.
According to the Public Financial Management Act, county governments are required to allocate at least 30% of their overall revenue to development initiatives.
Almost all of the counties reflect the scenario in Nyamira.
