TSC Portal.The news that over 3,744 headteachers of primary schools applied for deployment to junior secondary schools is a shock many people as revealed by teacher service commission (TSC).
This is because applying for deployment to junior secondary schools requires a high level of qualifications and experience in educational leadership.

The headteachers in question have been the principal of the primary school for several years and is highly respected among the faculty and students.
Despite the respect and admiration, the headteacher’s decision to apply for deployment to junior secondary schools has caused a stir amongst parents and teachers as it is seen as an unconventional move.
Parents Worries Over the Headteachers Decisions
Many parents see this as surprise that the headteachers would want to leave their current position for a less senior role in a different type of educational setting.
But to majority, the move will see headteachers adjust to a new set of responsibilities and expectations in junior secondary schools.

Regardless of the headteacher’s reasons for application for deployment to junior secondary schools, the news has certainly cause a wave of shock and surprise in the education sector.

P1 Requirements For Verification Ahead Of Deployment
i) Original and copy of the degree/diploma certificate;
ii) Original and copies of the academic transcripts;
iii) Original and copy of SNE qualification (where applicable);
iv) Original and copy of the KCSE certificate (or its equivalent);
v) A copy of the current payslip;
vi) A declaration by the Head of Institution that the teacher is currently serving in the school and is neither serving an interdiction nor undergoing a disciplinary process.
Vi) Original Identification Card (ID)
TSC Portal,Invitation and Venues for Verification of Documents for P1 teachers.
TSC sub-county directors will Officially invite all shortlisted candidates per county as directed by the commission to their offices for vetting.
In addition, after Vetting of documents, Sub-County Directors will offer signed letters for deployment to qualified teachers to report on their respective junior secondary school.
