High School Students Cane Parents Who Stormed Institution to Eject New Principal in homabay

Schools.To ensure academic brilliance and high standards for exams, parents have always had a voice in how various academic institutions conduct their daily business.

The aftermath of the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE)results had characteriby parents storming schools to either celebrate stellar performance or protest poor results.

A section of parents in Otok Secondary School in Karachuonyo constituency, Homa Bay County, regrets for their decision to storm a local secondary school to expunge the new principal.

The angry parents who registers dissatisfaction by the Ministry of Education’s decision to change the school’s principal and their mission to remove the new one from office forcefully.

Their strategy backfired when the students attacked them with whips and batons, leaving the majority of them groaning in agony.

Instances of parents breaking into classrooms to get what they want have become common in Kenyan education.

In another event, Upanda Primary School’s parents and students in Alego, Usonga constituency, paralyzed instruction as they invaded the building to expel the headteacher’s.

The parents accused the administrator of being incompetent and mismanaging school funds by collaborating with certain people to remove money from the school’s account.

They asserted that over the previous year, the headteacher never called a meeting of the school committee or parents and teachers.

Parents protest a student’s death by storming the school.

A teacher is accused of caning and injuring a student in Class Six who later died. Charged parents stormed Gitithia Primary School in Lari sub-county and demanded her arrest.

According to reports, a teacher struck a student by the name of Wambui on the head as she washed her hands outside the classroom.

Later that evening, after returning from school, Wambui complained of a bad headache, according to a statement from her mother, Elizabeth Wanjiku, to NTV.
