Ministry of Education.The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) examination will no longer be offer exams in the nation’s polytechnic and TVET institutions as per MOE.
Students will now be able to receive certification from national polytechnics that have accredits from the Kenya National Qualifications Authority.

Students will receive degrees and certificates after completion of TVET Courses.
In addition,the exams administration shall be by unique TVET examination board that will be established in the institutions.
However,Board for Technical and Vocational Training According to Esther Muoria, students who enroll in different universities complete their training, exams, and graduation at the same institution.
This practice ought to extend to students at national polytechnics.
In her statement at the handover of the Canadian government’s dairy processing facility in Nyeri as part of the Kenya Education for Jobs Program (KEFEP).
Dr. Muoria states, “I don’t see any reason for people in TVET colleges do assessments by the Kenya National Examination Council for them to qualify.” just as the university trains and examines its students and grants them degrees.
